Workplace Wellness ProgramsBe Healthier, happier & more productive
Employee Health & Engagement
Chronic pain is on the rise among the workplace, including issues involving the back, neck, shoulders, hips and knees.
Chances are that pain in one of these areas has affected you or one of your co-workers, and the ability to work and fully enjoy life.
According to the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, back injuries were the second highest workers compensation claims in 2018. These almost 14,000 back injuries accounted for nearly $90 million in claims, and cost employers an average $6,490 per incident.
Shoulder injuries cost employers almost $11,500 per incident. Wrist injuries cost companies over $7,500 per claim in 2018.
These statistics are real, costly, and have the potential to be greatly reduced through better education. Safety in the workplace is critical to teaching employees proper tool use and the precautions to take during hazardous conditions.
But did you know that workplace wellness programs that include office ergonomics and posture training can reduce costs and be beneficial, empowering and impactful for your employees?

- Decrease work-related injuries and workers comp claims
- Lower health care premiums
- Team building (Posture Challenge)
- Increase employee engagement and retention

- Minimize sick days
- Enhance job satisfaction
Workplace Wellness Programs:
I teach employees how to become mindful of their posture, and how to adjust to decrease the aches and pains they associate with daily office work. With my guidance, staff can learn how to realign themselves while sitting and standing to help alleviate tension and reduce pain.
I educate staff about furniture at home, in the car and at work, and how it can lead to poor posture, pain and potentially injury. I share tips on how to adjust poor ergonomics to reduce pain, and make better choices when shopping for shoes and furniture. And if your team is looking to upgrade office furniture, I can provide recommendations and purchasing advice.
One-on-one Employee Assistance
Every person is unique, and when combined with habits and compensation patterns a “one-size fits all” approach to workplace wellness may not be appropriate. I can provide each employee guidance at their own workstation, and customize tips and techniques specific to their needs and abilities.
What better way to make office ergonomics and posture training sustainable than to conduct a posture challenge for employees? Staff can set personal and team goals to see who is able to affect the most positive change within a certain time frame. An increase in smiles and healthier co-workers is an inspiration to all around the office!
