Meditation Classes
Visualize | Dream | RuminateWhat is Meditation?
-
- Slower-paced
-
- Seamlessly tied into the practice of yoga
-
- Focuses on mind-body-spirit connection
Similar to the practice of Yoga, Meditation has been around for thousands of years. Recently it has received a lot of attention in our Western culture as a way to help de-stress and de-clutter the mind, inspire healing and become more self-aware.
Meditation can be done as a practice without doing any yoga poses, however at Yoga Mojo & Movement Therapy I weave it into classes depending on the needs of each individual. Sometimes it’s as easy as tuning into the breath. Other times a guided meditation is offered as a way to influence self-healing, empowerment and self-love.
More about Meditation
Meditation is accessible and can help any and everyone, and can be practiced anytime, anywhere. This accessibility makes Meditation an easy practice to incorporate as a way of self-care, helping to manage stress, reduce insomnia and encourage healing. Chronic pain sufferers can also yield wonderful benefits from a consistent meditation practice, since the mind always takes the path of least resistance and goes to what it knows and is most familiar with – pain. Through meditation it is possible to become more mindful of the areas in the body that don’t hurt. When this awareness occurs, the brain can rewire itself in a positive direction that encourages self-healing.
Breathe, move and live – better.
If you are interested in meditation and incorporating it into your yoga or self-care practice, please let me know. I would love to help you feel better in your body!
