-
- Slower-paced
-
- Poses use a chair for support
-
- Focuses on increasing range of motion
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga, done slowly and mindfully especially for those with limited mobility. However, chair yoga can also benefit active individuals who want to build strength and learn ways to stretch utilizing a chair for support. Anyone who suffers from joint or chronic pain, is recovering from surgery/injury, or experiences limited mobility can benefit from Chair Yoga. It is gentle enough to be accessible to everyone, yet can also be challenging enough to provide results.
More about Chair Yoga
I love teaching chair yoga because folks are surprised at how much of a workout it can be. It doesn’t matter if you have limited mobility or are an experienced yogi, chair yoga can benefit everyone. Using a chair for support in yoga poses helps practitioners increase range of motion, improve balance and build strength to move throughout their day with confidence.
An entire one-hour Chair Yoga class can be done at Yoga Mojo & Movement Therapy, and there is so much variety available that no two classes are identical. Plus, we’ll have fun together while practicing!
