Neck & Shoulder Stretch to Release Tension

Release Tension: Neck & Shoulder Stretch

Moriah Diederich, Yoga Mojo

Holistic Yoga Therapist™, RYT500, Accessible Yoga Ambassador

Release tension.

Ever wake up unable to turn your head because of a kink in your neck? Do your shoulders feel hiked up next to your ears from stress?

You’re not alone. Most of us carry varying amounts of stress and tension in our neck and shoulders. Sometimes our breath has become so compromised by stress, and we lift our shoulders every time we inhale. If we take in approximately 20,000 breaths a day, that’s a lot of unneccesary tension created across the neck and shoulders!

Watch this 10 minute video to learn a few quick and easy stretches to relieve stress and release  tension in your neck and shoulders.

Many of us carry stress in our neck and shoulders. These quick and easy stretches can be done standing or sitting, from anywhere at any time. I truly hope they help you to releive tension and feel better!
