We all have daily aches and pains that we simply put up with. Private Yoga Classes for Every Body
I am passionate about making yoga possible for everyone regardless of age, size or abilities, and am a certified Accessible Yoga teacher. Whether you are looking to lose weight, increase mobility, reduce stress or enhance athletic performance, I can customize a yoga class to accommodate the uniqueness of you. I often mix and match the following styles based on your fitness level, goals and how you’re feeling that day:
Beginning Yoga
Learn yoga in a safe, comfortable environment at your own pace, and have fun while doing it! In a beginning yoga class designed just for you, learn yoga postures (asanas), alignment and modifications so you can gain confidence, build strength and increase flexibility. More >
Gentle Yoga
A softer style for those with back, shoulder, hip or knee pain, gentle yoga is practiced more slowly and limits weight bearing poses. This allows the practitioner to focus on building strength, improving flexibility and increasing balance and confidence in movement. More >
Chair Yoga
Using a chair for yoga can be beneficial in so many ways. It allows the practitioner to build strength and increase range of motion without having to bear weight. This is especially helpful for those with limited mobility or recovering from injury or surgery. More >
Restorative Yoga
Beneficial for stress relief, regulating emotions and renewing balance, restorative yoga activates the “rest and digest” nervous system and calms the “fight or flight” response. Poses are fully supported with bolsters, blankets and blocks to initiate deep relaxation and healing. More >
Vinyasa Yoga
Also known as active, flow or power yoga, Vinyasa yoga is an umbrella term that includes many styles. Typically Vinyasa Yoga is practiced more quickly, often flowing at a pace of one breath per movement. Exceptional for building strength, endurance and flexibility. More >
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a general term and many styles such as gentle yoga, chair yoga and restorative yoga fall under this category. Hatha yoga is generally a more gentle flow practice where poses are held longer than in Vinyasa Yoga, allowing more time for alignment and breath. More >
Meditation
Life can be so hectic that we rarely make time to sit in peace and enjoy stillness in our mind and body. The practice of meditation gives us the space to concentrate on our intention and limit distraction. More >
Posture & Self-Care
Building a solid foundation from which to move throughout the day is critical to overall health. Postural alignment, improved ergonomics and self-care allows us to transition off the mat and incorporate the practice of yoga into our lives 24-7. More >
