Yoga Classes Just for You

less pain. less stress. more you!

Yoga Your Way

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

– Dr. Seuss

Just as no two snowflakes are alike, you are completely unique compared to every other person around you. Although yoga has been taught and practiced for several millennia now, many different types of yoga classes have emerged to meet the needs of unique individuals such as yourself.

As a certified Holistic Yoga Therapist, RYT500 and Accessible Yoga Ambassador, I offer private, one-on-one yoga classes in a a variety of different styles so I can accommodate your specific needs. Each yoga class is customized to meet you where you are, whether you want to get in better shape or are recovering from an injury.

It’s your yoga practice, designed just for you.

Be Empowered

I want to inspire you to move and feel better in your own body. During your private yoga class, I use a holistic approach to see and treat you as a whole person – physically, mentally and emotionally – with the goal of empowering your innate ability to self-heal. We are so much more than our injuries, our limitations, our pain. I want to help you find the cause, and not just treat your symptoms.

There’s a reason that both ancient wisdom and current research approach the human body holistically as a union of mind, body and breath. All three are vitally important, and I approach each during a private yoga class:

It can be easy to set aside thoughts of how we feel, breathe and move. We rush from one thing to the next, until finally something nags at us loudly enough that we can’t help but turn all of our attention to it. Pain, fatigue, stress, illness or injury can set in and take over our thoughts, turning them negative. By bringing awareness to what is working, we can set the foundation to empower your healing process.

Self-care techniques are taught in all-levels yoga classes at Yoga Mojo & Movement Therapy in Vancouver, WA serving all of Clark County and the Portland, OR metro

Compensations (such as a tucked position of the pelvis) can make it uncomfortable to walk, sit, stand and pick things up. These issues can develop from stress, injury, illness or just daily life.

During your private yoga class, we identify your compensations, and learn how to re-pattern them to enhance your mobility, build strength, and increase balance and flexibility.

Pranayama, or breathing techniques, are taught in every private yoga class at Yoga Mojo & Movement Therapy in Vancouver, WA serving Camas, Fishers Landing, Minnehaha, Hazel Dell, Felida, Salmon Creek, Ridgefield, Hockinson, Battle Ground, La Center, Washougal, Fir Crest, Cascade Park East, Orchards, Proebstel, Livingston, Brush Prairie, Five Corners, Orchards, Cougar and Portland, Oregon

Breath is the genesis of movement, beginning at the deepest level of our beings. When we develop dysfunctional breathing patterns, our body’s ability to move and to heal becomes limited.

Initiating a practice of mindful breathing can reconnect us with our very essence, enable us to reduce stress, enhance healing and return to a balanced, well-connected self.

What to expect

Experience a holistic approach to wellness during a private yoga class designed specifically for you and customized to your goals. There is no pre-prescribed agenda and no judgment. You inherently have the wisdom and power to heal. My job is to help guide you in this path to create less harm in your everyday actions and help you achieve your goals.

Your first yoga class is 75 minutes and includes a complete posture, movement and ergonomics assessment and intake review to establish goals. All following classes are 60 minutes and are designed specifically to meet your needs that day.

During our time together you will become connected to your body, mind and spirit so you can return to a more balanced self. And plenty of smiles and laughter will be had along the way.
